Yippee!
Not that happy at the moment… Worried about my health, money and getting a home among other things, I don’t feel there is a way out. Time will tell.

Odd day…Was quite miserable this evening and then Kayleigh turned up and told me all about her birthday shenanigans which cheered me up big time. Had a kind of family get together on Saturday too which was nice, though a very high percentage of little kids for a 16th Birthday. My Sister took Kayleigh to Brighton last night to see Alphabeat and Kayleigh found out Frankmusik was the support act who she loves and she actually met him and got his autograph which she was ecstatic about. I mentioned to her that in June I’m seeing the Pigeon Detectives with Julie and she was like…”No Way!” And now wants a T-shirt. She will be seeing Crystal Castles in May which reminds me of an old arcade game which was basically 3D Pacman, and I’m sure they sampled some of the music from the game in one of their songs. Rolling Stone mention they use the “8-bit aesthetics of famed Nintendo composers Yoshihiro Sakaguchi and Koji Kondo.” Although Crystal Castles was Atari, I guess this explains it.

This is a pub in Caerphilly where I went to for lunch on Saturday with Julie and her daughter Tara.
“The Black Cock Inn is a historic country pub situated half way up Caerphilly Mountain and is a very popular traditional family inn. It boasts old fashioned values of good service and Welsh hospitality, a relaxing atmosphere and provides an ideal venue to enjoy your meal…” Then afterwards you can pop outside and take a picture so you can rip the piss out of the name in your blog!

Rain, misery and lack of enthusiasm, that was the order of the day, not unusual but sometimes it can be sunny I suppose. Having problems at work with these poxy transducer modules, I won’t go into it as it really is boring as hell, certainly isn’t helping. I’m really trying to grasp at something that will help me look forward in a more positive vain, I’m beginning to believe I may have made a mistake by changing jobs as money has certainly become an issue now. Barry, a guy I used to work with, told me I should have taken on the role as Commercial Heating Engineer as I could now be earning £50 per hour! Yeah, thanks for that… I needed that information like a red hot poker up my arse!

It’s been a bit of shit week all in all, I was hoping for a visit from a little green man offering me superhuman powers and the ability to forsee the National Lottery numbers, but that didn’t happen. I was given a letter yesterday by the Human Resouces Manager (a pointless title for a position invented to fill the Appointments section in the newspapers) and told to open it there and then… Oh shit I thought, maybe I’ll be reading that Appointments section myself very soon, but it was a letter to say I have been taken on permanantly following a review with the Head of Electronics. And I was emailed a job locally in a similar role offering me 10K more!! Hmmm… Tomorrow I drive off to see Julie, I will take some photos if I remember and upload them at some point.

Had a reminder through yesterday for an appointment at the Metabolic clinic in the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, very efficient I thought, noticing the time and date to be a little beyond my means, I decided to phone and alter it. I rang at 8.30 am today and the phone rang and rang, well guess they’re not open till 9am so I rang back at 9.15am, Bingo! 2 rings and a very polite lady answers the phone and wishes me a good morning, I asked if I have the wrong number but no, I don’t. My confidence began to grow as I cheerfully accepted her greeting and went about supplying the necessary alphanumeric identification requirements, all that I needed to do was book the appointment at a more convenient time about 2 weeks into the future, but the earliest appointment date was the 1st of bloody September, that’s almost 5 months! I booked this appointment initially 6 months ago as it is… Anyway I had no choice but to accept and promise to ring inbetween to see if any cancellations may bring the date closer. No wonder they have time to answer the phones quickly if they only see two patients a week!

Tired seems to be the common factor from day to day so far this week. Monday I buggered off home from work early because of a power cut, Tuesday I buggered off home early, because i did and today I’m in slow motion once again. Anyway, that aside I’m pretty good, for those of you who are unaware I am now officially in a relationship, her name is Julie and is more or less exactly like me…except female and Welsh. I better get on and do something I suppose.

I believe this was Nature’s very own April Fool’s Joke. With regards to the old wives’ tale it turned out to be a lovely sunny day and the warmest so far this year.
