Foot wasn’t too bad at all today, I was kinda expecting it to resemble a purple hippopoumus and find it quite difficult to drag around during the day, but no! Had more thoughts today regarding the house on the Isle of Wight with my name on it, don’t want to upset people but seems I have heard very little from the other party involved as to the situation regarding the mortgage. May have to get legal advice here. My Daughter also text me about some hassle she’s had from some other girls at school, I’m not very tactful in these situations and could end up killing one of their parents! So let’s hope it doesn’t continue…(The views expressed in the blog are those of the individuals who may be impersonating me and not necessarily those of the blog author).
Later ended up registering this domain and popped round to Chains who help me set things up (Cheers Mate! ;)) Showed me some cool stuff to help manage the site too which I need to play with for a while to get my head round. So after a flick around on HF we decided a game of URT would be in order. I like to let Chain win most of the time because he hasn’t been well and I believe the ego boost will help him on the road to recovery 😉 When he’s well again I shall blast him of the map!

Monday, well…Nothing doing really, watched some tv, which isn’t a common thing for me if you’re wondering why I’m writing it in my Blog? At some later stage in the day I decided to take it upon myself to leap from the stairs, this action was somehow made out to be a bad idea as my left ankle twisted 4 times round my neck! Thus I have difficulty walking now (and swallowing), also didn’t realise how knackering hopping is! Had a call from Servowarm, still no idea where I am meant to be next week and I think they expected me to use my own vehicle for the first week or two…I politely explained to them that cycling to Croydon before a days work didn’t appeal much to me and I think they agreed to organise a company vehicle for Monday…Yay! So, there you have it, within no time at all I will be firing on all cylinders and ready to kick ass…!

As always I am here staring at a blank screen wondering what it is that I do in my life that you will find entertaining…Another nanoseconds thought, and the answer is quite simple: Bugger All…Saturday was uneventful, except I finally snapped at a pathetic, badly timed comment over the Hastings 2 meter repeater. Sunday (Mothers Day) I took my Mum out for dinner and then onto my Nieces birthday party, shamefully no beer! But plenty of Jelly and Ice Cream with a glass or two of Cherryade.

Cool…Bit of a late post! Is It? Well looks like I’m gamefully employed by Servowarm…Bless Them! Which ultimately means I may not have enough spare time to ramble here, thank god I hear you mutter…The thing is if I knew there were alot more readers, I would be a little more entertainiing… Comments welcomed!
Friday! Well… Out with Freinds, for a jar or two then to my local for another jar or several. Met an interesting Lady, watch this space: I’m not promising pornography… But one can live in hope! Glad to hear our (me and Chain) efforts have produced some goods…the mailshot the other night has prompted a call for Chains business! God luck mate, I’m right behind you 😉

Funny day, though I’m certainly not laughing. Actually got the TVI filter working today, seems the first design I applied would’ve worked but the antenna amp had a broken track on the supply rail to the first stage and therefore, wasn’t amplifying! Quite frustrating as all the effort I put in yesterday was pointless, but this fault explains the lot, so now I can merrily transmit at full power on 145Mhz with not a zilch of interference on the TV downstairs 😉 Job Done!
Erm thats about it, had a couple of zany ideas with Chain about a fun business venture and a bit of pratting around with a DVC looks immenent… Felt a bit down in the evening, jus paced around like a div in a trance. More fun tomorrow me expects!

Had a letter today from Servowarm asking me if I was still up for starting work for them, but I still haven’t heard from another company that I think I’d prefer to work for…? I spoke to the area manager of Servowarm Monday and explained I had a problem with my voicemail and hadn’t received any of the 5 messages that had been left previous. Thing is I don’t really want to do anything plumbing related, I just want a large sum of money, basically for doing whatever I want. Still I will go with the flow for a bit longer and make my decision when the time is right.
Today I extensively tested alot of filtering modifications to the TV antenna pre-amp to try to avoid the interference I’m causing to the television and actually got it to work, one problem though is that the analogue signal became somewhat attenuated…Acheived very little to erradicate the insertion losses cause by the mods and gave up after about 5 hours. Chain came round and we fitted the aerial mount to his van and after walking around a major Industrial Estate looking very suspicious delivering leaflets, drove up to Butts Brow aprox. 350 feet above Eastbourne to flick around on the radio. Heard one or two stations on HF, though we decided that maybe there was a grounding problem preventing the antenna system from operating correctly. That’s about my lot for today, you sound a bit boring I here you say? I say, never judge a man before walking a mile in his shoes! Today I was quite contented, and my shoes stink a bit so I wouldn’t recommend borrowing them.

The thing is this: I have often wondered about the reasons for my existance on this planet… And obviously have come up with no answers! Otherwise I would be locked up in some theatrical way of living that seems to suit the people I have the pleasure of being associated with along the way. My unfortunate circumstance places me in a position where I’m not really sure what I should be. I am free spirited, take things as they come and materialism to me is a myth. Life is an act that I see portraited by many people with varying ideas and influences, but the the thing is, who is the director?
Other things today well…Got the necessary components to complete my theoretical filter (thanks Chain). Didn’t really produce the goods, more analysing and research into the complicated mathematics of inductance and filtering made my head spin for a while after mastering bugger all…I went down the pub! 4 pints later and not really worrying about the complications that had before hand had a major impact on my frontal lobes…I feel somehow more at ease about the subject. I can’t remember!
Good day anyway, many cups of tea, and a few beers to boot!… 🙂

The fact is I’m just about hacked off with the way things seem to be. There’s the age old saying, “Life’s what you make it!” Not untrue, but it sort of does your head in a tad when all oppurtunities of actually making something seem to get missed, and then you get stuck in a rutt where it becomes impossible to actually do anything. So today I sat at home doing sod all!!!
Played around with the banner..as you will see. Knuckled down with some inductance theory to figure out how to wind these coils for my TVI filter (for those who dont get it, I operate on 144-146Mhz and basically wipe out the digibox downstairs, seems the wideband amp front end jus saturates everytime I key. A TVI filter will rectify this) Quite pleased to have the physical data now on paper, jus need to get hold of a handful of capacitors. Chain maybe able to help there, otherwise it’ll be a trip down to SI Electronics…(if he has any). Took JingTong 70cms Handie to bits to accertain the reason for crap audio, seems my assumption was right, that the electret mic didnt have a dedicated hole in the case (???) Left it in pieces for now, want to check audio filtering on the mic pre-amp and also try to eliminate a rediculous tone that belts out everytime you power the damn thing up! Tomorrow now as knackered…
So blog entry number 2…WooHoo!!!!
