Yes… Today Would Be Sunday.

Why i can’t get this plugin thingy to work so comments can be left I really don’t know… Anyhow bought some new speakers and had to bypass the overload protection as the woofer kept dying… Yes, I like my music loud! Ended up popping a fuse in my amplifier which is a quite cool Arcam series II I got for a reasonable price off ebay, I now have a tray of fuses purchased from Maplins, I may as well hand the receipt into work and obtain a portion of petty cash in return of the repair of several appliances, it will probably be that a majority of them will be used for the repair of boilers/controls owned by their customers. Currently quite bored playing some tunes, reflecting on issues of no particular importance and generally mellow.

Traffic! Grrr…

As you may notice there’s a mp3 player under the header, also you may notice if you use Microsoft Internet Explorer, it doesn’t work properly, though in Firefox it works perfectly. If you click play in IE you will notice it will load a playlist that has absolutely nothing to do with where my HTML points to (my URL). It seems to load some strange internet radio channel that plays a load of seemingly unheard of tracks by vague artists and ignores the code I put in linking it to my server where I have uploaded tracks that I wanted to be in the playlist. (GASP!(*takes a deep breath*)). I don’t get it, can anyone help before I pick up this machine, hurl it through the window, go into the garden, collect the remains and piss all over them!

Today I went to London… I decided to get the train from Polegate instead of the town centre station where it is impossible to park, cheaply. The only other Eastbourne station is Hampden Park, this I ruled out straight away as the area seems to be ruled by Chavs and I was concerned I’d return to my car upside down and maybe with a small family squatting inside. Polegate however, is not too busy, has a large car park, ticket office all nice and open plan and easy peasy. But as I entered the High Street which is usually unpopulated by large vehicles and long queues (when the level crossing isn’t closed), I end up in a queue of traffic blocked by two buses, two car spaces forward and an articulated lorry appears from a side turning, then another lorry decides to do a 3 point turn, one space more and some pillock lets out yet another artic from the same side turning….You get the picture, all in all this normally quite(ish) little high street had at one point, in various modes of maneuvering, 4 articulated lorries, 3 buses and another 3 large vans plus all the other traffic, all because of the knob heads that decided it was a good plan to hold the entire population of Eastbourne up to do their deed for the day and let them all out…. OK, so I’m moaning, normally it wouldn’t bother me as I’d be at work and being paid to sit on my arse watching idiots thinking they are setting a good example to other drivers by being polite, (if they had driven through, the road would’ve been clear within a minute, I’m sure the lorry drivers wouldn’t have been bothered too much, plus they could’ve turned out onto an empty road a lot easier!) when in reality they’re clogging the town up!

We all know the story of the old lady off to deliver a cake to her gentleman friend in the next town one sunny Monday morning, she gets in her Citreon 2CV6, pulls out the choke and hangs her handbag on it, drives along the main “A” road to the next town at 30mph with a 2 mile queue of infuriated drivers behind her. No one in the queue can overtake because of the winding road. When she arrives at her Gentleman friends’ house, he welcomes her with a peck on the cheek and asks how the drive in was? “Oh lovely,” she replies, “Not another car on the road.”

Anyway I met a lady friend in Piccadilly Circus and we had lunch, all very nice and will be in London again in a few weeks so Helen, find a jacket spud restaurant, although the salad today was mighty fine. Attended my appointment at the Neurological Hospital, spoke to Dr. Lee and his associates including a Dietician, Liver Specialist and some lady Doctor who just nodded and smiled the whole way through, to be honest I think she had drawn eyes on her glasses and was actually nodding off! Have to go back soon to get some up to date info on phenylalanine free foods and recipes, another day off work, Yay!

Blimey…That’s long winded, better wrap up or else you’ll have squares imprinted on your forehead where you’ve fallen asleep on the keyboard.

Foggy

It’s a seriously foggy Sunday morning, proof that autumn is here.
Outside Temperature: 10.1 Centigrade
Humidity: 92%
Dew Point: 8.8 Centigrade
Barometric Pressure: 1018mb tendency steady
Cloud Base: 132 Meters, I would’ve thought ground level looking out the window, I wonder what the weather’s like off-shore at Skegness?

Tomorrow I’m off to London to see my Consultant, Dr. Lee about my low protein diet so I can have it monitored as my G.P. along with the local hospital just can’t cope. I need to be able to do fortnightly blood tests (myself) and send them in for screening and receive the results the following week, this helps me manage my phenylalanine levels effectively. The problem with having it done through the hospital was I’d have to wait up to six weeks for any results, I’d need to go into the hospital for the blood test and any appointments with the dietitian etc. I would be put on the waiting list and sit tight for 2-3 months.

Hyperinnovation

My mind is quite scrambled at this point in time which is a good thing. I can work with mental paraphernalia, it kind of makes sense. One thing particularly intriguing me is nano-technology and the implications involved if it’s allowed to develop. Technology is evolving at an exponential rate, and we, ourselve’s, are on the cusp of a revolution, Chris Harris himself, author of Hyperinnovation has brought this to my attention and my head is spinning, but everyday I get a extra piece of information towards of the totality of the predicted outcome, and it is mind blowing!

Gung Ho!

Good weekend so far, had some visitors from afar… Well Harrow in Middlesex, went to a bbq at Chain’s last night and, for a change, I was the only sober one there. Ended up sitting in front of a chiminere till 5 in the morning pouring over the usual bollocks that seems to become quite important in those kind of situations. At this moment in time I’m contemplating hiring a keyboard from Bonners (music store), seem to have the musical bug. Need seriously to learn that song by Eva Cassidy, (guitar) it is quite complicated but I feel it can be easily simplified, that’s the way to learn, keep it simple and then add the twiddley bits as you progress. Also need to get my hands on a 4-8 track recorder and I could actually make something that people think is reasonably good. Still I have a “TO DO” list that is more or less crossed off, which means I am heading forward.

Below the Threshold of Conscious Perception.

I tend to get small messages, I am somewhat a believer in spiritualism (unless it’s slightly bizarre), although I think logically and I’m a (kind of) engineer. If something is about to go wrong, or change significantly, I get a Magpie following my path in front of me, I also have bizarre flashbacks to events I have dreamed as they have just happened in real life, and it’s not de ja vue. I had the strangest dream as my Nan in Australia died and I woke in a cold sweat with my heart about to burst from my chest and I was scared to death, I woke normally the next day and went to work. When I returned I found my Mum in tears, and it turns out the exact time I woke after this dream happened was the time of her death.

The point to this rambling is that I had that Magpie with me this morning, and something I read came up with a phrase, “Chopping Carrots With The Grim Reaper!” This seems to me to be a reflection of my situation at the moment, so I hope I’m not gonna be playing Twister or Cluedo with him sooner than I have to.

Anyway, I may update later so tara for now…
