Premonitions of Chocolate…

October 21st, 2006

Kind of a wierd day as had a stack of private jobs to do. Had a wierd one too, dreamed last night that I dished up a fruit salad with ice cream for someone, thought it would be a nice touch to crumble some chocolate or something over it. So I found myself looking at a rack of chocolate bars, Mars, Milky Way, KitKats etc. But all I wanted to use was Blue Ribband, now I haven’t seen or heard of these choc bars for years, let alone recently. I had agreed to do some gas work for an old friend of my Dads’ in Tunbridge Wells, this guy has recently had a stroke, I had forgotten about this. I turned up at his house and was quite shocked how badly affected he was, very frail and unable to use the left hand side of his body except a very slow attempt at walking, he is a very nice man and I was quite upset to see him age 10 years in 6 months! I noticed in his kitchen a rather large number of Blue Ribband Bars! He said he was addicted to them… And kept offering them to me, how wierd is that? Anyway, choc bars aside on my drive to Tunbridge Wells I suddenly thought, at my last job I hadn’t replaced the burner bar of this old lady’s boiler properly and became extremely paranoid that it may fire up and explode, so I rang her and asked her to switch it off until I returned to sort it…Phew!!! Was meant to go for beer with Cam tonight but didn’t hear from him, it maybe he has been chained up in Margate only to be released when the jobs done. So I picked up Jade my daughter who is staying the night. Going to a Science Fair thing on Tuesday in London, and to Brighton Wednesday to see Keane in concert…not sure what to do about work?

But earned some decent money today for a change and didn’t blow up any old ladies in the process so I’m happy.
