Something to do with Driving?

May 26th, 2006

Day was ok, though one thing springs to mind is that if I drive for a period of time and then get out the car, I have a wierd kinda head-rush without the rush, more of a feeling of pressure in my head that impeads my hearing and makes me feel like i’ve had a cannister of some kind of inert gas inserted into my ears thats pumped up my head? This only last for 20-30 seconds or so but it worries me. I have suffered headaches since starting this job, headaches are one thing I DO not suffer from…even after a heavy night. I can’t understand the reason why this happens when I drive, I thought it may be blood pressure but there would be other symtoms such as blotchy skin that I don’t get…And it is very temporary, unless I’m in this state all the time I am behind the wheel and only feel it when I stand up? Hmmm… I do get very Irate with ordinary drivers though, ordinary being the type that drive to their Mums to pick up a birthday cake etc. When I have 2 billion people just wanting me to be late so they can call the call center and complain about how disgraceful the service is. No dis-respect but if it is only a cake, take a push-bike! Not a 5 tonne All Terrain Vehicle or “SUV” as the twats in America are teaching you, my van carries the stock to repair most makes of central heating boilers and its smaller than a Ford Mondeo, plus I can stuff 2 or 3 kids in there, without removing anything else, and take them to school.

Don’t think this is a dig against the school run involving a competetive influx of mothers trying to outdo each other with “Who can drive the most stupidly big vehicle to drop the kids off at school in,” attitude…errr ok…It is! There’s a simple concept involving the safety of your dear little ones whilst driving on the road. Don’t buy a huge TANK that wouldn’t receive a scratch in a 40 car pile up on the M25, Learn to drive safely… Then shove ’em in the back of a Bedford Rascal sitting on a toolbox…

Having said this I do know some very good Women drivers, and some crap bloke drivers, so I am not enforcing some kind of stereotype, just these are things I witness everyday…all day…and need to vent it before I run one of the bastards off the road!
