Birthday BBQ!

I’m having a birthday bash, bbq and booze up on Saturday August 2nd from 7pm… everyone is welcome, even if only to have a beer and bog off. No need to reply unless you want to, just turn up!

Is There A Change In The Wind?

Despondency is the mood of the day, my car is dying fast, MOT and Tax due end of month, and will be docked a weeks wages because an operation I had to have. On top of that I have impatient creditors breathing down my neck, Work and Pensions hassling me and other odd things crawling from the woodwork. All in all, I’m brassic and would be better of throwing in the towel and rethinking my objectives, leaving my last job was a mistake – “Money isn’t everything, until you don’t have any!” I am due a pay review this month, we’ll see what the offer is before I make any radical decisions. But there will be changes amidst the indefinite time yet to come.

“It is significant that the future is generally understood, as we form rational conceptions of what it may contain, primarily based on the past. At the same time, the structure of the future is fundamentally different from that of the past, so a thoroughly accurate understanding of what the future holds must take into account the possibility of a radical and unimaginable difference between the future and the past.”

Eeez as deyer-d-deaf as a p-p-p-p-post sir!

After my ENT surgery it seems there’s very little difference to my hearing, I’ve been reading up on conductive hearing loss and it seems that I may well have damaged the ossicles, the bones that transfer vibrations from the eardrum (tympanic membrane) to the oval window of the inner ear. The ossicles can be artificially replaced in the case of damage as a result of serious infection or head injury, I believe the stress I placed on them when I frustratedly pumped my hand against my ear because of an irritation, was enough to cause the kind of damage that would be associated with a head injury. But hey, I’m no Ear Doctor. With a follow up appointment in 5 weeks time it is possible I will be booked in for an MRI scan I guess to have a detailed look for damage to these parts of my ear, although it will be quite interesting I will be on yet another waiting list! When I first went deaf last June I booked an appointment with my GP who referred me to ENT, I was given a choice of available appointments in different hospitals across the area, as I assumed it would be a straight forward procedure to drain fluid from the middle ear, I chose the earliest available appointment which happened to be in Uckfield about 30 minutes drive away. However since the emerging complexity of my problem I have been tranferred to Mount Ephraim in Tunbridge Wells (50 minutes drive) as Uckfield are under the Maidstone and District NHS. After various tests and consultations, in hindsight, I wish I had just waited another 2 weeks for a local appointment, such is the Life of Lemmy!

IQ? Not Really.

I dunno how, but I got ripped off £5 for trying this; yes I see see Chain pissing his pants right now, the irony of this situation is, “It’s an intelligence test.”

Free IQ Test

The BBC said This:
“A person’s Intelligence Quotient (IQ) is, arguably, one of their most important characteristics. It is believed that you can predict a person’s behavior more accurately from their IQ than from any other single piece of information about them.”

What a load of Bollocks!!!

Check out a few the clever people in history that I have researched…

1. Einstein
It goes without question this guy is a genius, but his personal life was an array of turmoil and dysfunction. He once wrote that the spirit of learning and creative thought were lost in strict rote learning. No Shit!
2.Hitler
Not really a thickie… Although as infamous as you can imagine!
3.Bill Gates
Now this fella has a lot of enemies, quite a few I feel maybe reading this. But you cannot deny this bloke his brilliance.

Here, I’ve taken 3 well known intellectual subjects with abstract ideals. Now read that part from the BBC again!

Do I Look Like Suggs?

Having been to Hospital I was confronted by a Nurse who said, “Do you know who you remind me of?”
Now I’ve had this alot so I decided to do some research.

Hmmm… I’m not so sure.

Some Old Photo’s

I’ve got the scanner out and have decided to get some old photo’s online. This is some of the fun I had when I was in Australia in 2000 at my cousins in Brisbane. I ended up ditching the car in the pond and having to tow it out with a Ute! (4X4)

HaHa… Me and Cam, Only 17!

And 11 years later with Chain and Angel New Years Eve…
